Dear CAEP Member,

This is to inform you of the Annual General Meeting to be held on Sunday June 9^th, 2024, at TCU in the Plenary Room 2^nd floor at 12:15 pm.

In addition, this year, CAEP will be offering a virtual option to attend the AGM. For those wishing to attend virtually, you will be able to access the AGM through zoom and will submit your votes and questions via this platform. In order to attend virtually, you must pre-register by May 30^th, 2024. CAEP will send further instructions on accessing the zoom link to those registered by June 4^th, 2024 as well as provide information on who to contact should you have any technical difficulties.

We also wish to inform you that after receiving no nominations from the membership, the individuals put forward by the Nominating Committee of the Canadian Association of Emergency Physicians have been elected and/or re-elected by acclamation for the Board of Directors positions.

The CAEP Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Sunday June 9, 2024, at TCU in the Plenary Room at 12:15 pm.

On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Association of Emergency Physicians (CAEP), and as Chair of the CAEP Nominating Committee, I am writing to provide you with information regarding the Nominating Committee nominations for Directors of the CAEP Board. This year, we have three (3) Director positions eligible for renewal, one (1) Treasurer position eligible for renewal, one (1) vacant Director position (must be from the WEST region and one (1) President-Elect position. The term for each Director position and Treasurer is two (2) years. The President-Elect position is a six (6) year commitment.

To fulfill the requirements of the CAEP Bylaws, the Board must have a regional presence from each of the five (5) geographical regions. These positions must be filled by an Active CAEP member. Please refer to page four (4), 1.4 (v) Interpretations, of the CAEP By-Laws linked below.

Members are welcome to submit nominations for the Board of Directors using the form linked below.

Nominations should be submitted to the CAEP office on or before Wednesday April 10, 2024. Nominations must include the written consent of the nominee to serve, if elected, and must be signed by no fewer than five (5) Active CAEP members. If nominations are received from the membership for the available positions, an election will take place at the Annual General Meeting on Sunday June 9, 2024. Should there be no additional nominations from the membership, an election will not take place and the nominee(s) put forward by the Nominating Committee shall be elected by acclamation.
