Call for interested NON CAEP Members who Practice EM

The examination of equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) in emergency medicine and within CAEP was recently made a priority by the Board of Directors. In order to better appreciate how CAEP is perceived by the EM community regarding EDI, the Board has decided to conduct focus groups. These groups will involve non-CAEP members and will include women, 2SLGBTQIA+ and Black, Indigenous and people of colour (BIPOC).

Data collected will be used to determine how CAEP can move forward implementing equity, diversity and inclusion in all its activities as it works to advance emergency medicine in Canada.

Individual names will not be tied to responses and participants can expect an open and safe sharing environment. Should an individual wish to share or discuss personal issues outside of the focus group they will be able to contact Kirsten Johnson,

CAEP President who will be facilitating the focus groups.

Participants will receive a $100 CAEP credit towards a 2021 membership.
