  2.  Manage a wide variety of acute emergency presentations
  3.  Apply new developments to clinical care
  4.  Identify controversies in new investigations, management strategies and therapies
  5.  Optimize care when resources are limited
  6.  Create a space where enthusiasm and productivity flourish

Event Schedule

M*A*S*H – Medical Quiz of the Day = 5 hours (30 minutes each).
Our medical quiz is hosted every day from March 26 to April 4.

Lead Speaker - Chuck Su MD, CCFP(EM), FCFP

Assistant Professor
Department of Emergency Medicine
Department of Family Medicine
University of Ottawa

Born and raised in Sudbury, Ontario, Chuck earned his MD at the University of Western Ontario, and family medicine residency at Queens University.  He is an emergency department physician at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital and was the Chief of Emergency Medicine from 2007-2012.

At the Faculty of Medicine, Chuck is the Director of Distributed Medical Education.  He facilitates clinical rotations in rural settings, to give learners a more robust medical educational.  He is a Distinguished Teacher and the Leader of the Leadership Curriculum for the medical students. He was the Honorary Class President for uOttawa MD 2018.

Chuck enjoys travelling with his family, snowboarding, hockey, tennis and cheering on the Raptors.

Vincent Poirier - Chase Leader, Seminar Speaker

Vincent is the current McGill FRCP EM Program Director, an Aviation Medicine specialist and Associate Professor at McGill University. He is Senior Medical Advisor for Air Canada, Medical Consultant for Air Transat and the co-founder of the Onboard Medical Emergencies course that teaches how to manage in-flight medical emergencies. When he is not flying or stuck in an airport, he works full time as an Emergency Physician at the McGill University Health Centre.

Rob Primavesi - Chase Leader, Seminar Speaker

Rob is Associate Chair Education for the Department of Emergency Medicine at McGill University and a member of the CAEP Board. He is an active contributor to continuing professional development, undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. He was named to the McGill Faculty Honour List for Educational Excellence, presented with the student Osler Award for Outstanding Teaching, is a recipient of the CFPC Jim Ruderman Academic Family Medicine Leadership Award and the CAEP President’s Award. In his spare time, Rob is an avid traveller, adventurer and whitewater rafting guide.
