Position Statements and Guidelines

CAEP Position Statements and Guidelines Approval Process

All CAEP Position Statements and Guidelines have a standardized path that must be adhered to for CAEP Board approval and Canadian Journal of Emergency Medicine (CJEM) publication.  Briefly, topics and drafts must be reviewed by the CAEP Standards Committee and CAEP Membership, before proceeding to CJEM for editing and final approval by the CAEP Board.

E-mail potential topics and manuscript drafts to Jennifer Artz, Research and Academics Manager (jartz@caep.ca), and Vera Klein, CAEP Executive Director (vklein@caep.ca), who will direct the materials to the appropiate individuals.

The requirements for each step are outlined (CAEP Position Statements and Guidelines Submission Instructions), and a cover sheet will be appended to your manuscript when the topic is submitted, which will document the approval process.
