Chair of CME/CPD Message

CAEP’s educational philosophy is to be the leader in providing excellence in Continuing Medical Education and Continuing Professional Development that meet the needs of its members.

CAEP hosts the largest emergency medicine conference in Canada annually that incorporates a four-day educational program.  CAEP’s Annual Conference is second to none in quality and relevance to your practice.  The conference is a forum to showcase Canada’s best research and promote learning through scientific sessions and interactive workshops on issues of importance to Canada’s emergency medicine community.  The conference also promotes and provides many opportunities for networking and lively interactive discussion amongst the emergency medicine community from across the country.

Join us for in Niagara Falls to Harness the Power at CAEP 2012, June 2nd – 6th.

CAEP has branded a series of successful Roadshows that meet the highest educational standards.  This "CME that travels" model allows us to transport the same high quality CME to locations near all our CAEP members.  CAEP upholds the tradition of presenting information in sufficient depth to change practice.

If you are looking to combine CME with a winter getaway, CAEP takes its CME south every year at the end of January. CME in the SUN is for physicians who practice emergency medicine on a full-time or part-time basis.   Learn while you practice your favourite sports, indulge at the spa, or chill on a lounge chair on a breathtaking beach … are your bags packed?

CAEP recently conducted a needs assessment to determine what CAEP can do to meet our members’ current and future CME/CPD needs.  We are working to put what you told us into development.

Coming soon: ED STAT! with a new team of speakers, EDTU training hubs, as well as on-line CME through an educational grant from the Canadian Medical Association, featuring Toxicology as the first module; all with the usual discounted rates for members.

Please explore our offerings.  I look forward to meeting you at a CAEP CME event soon.
